Maenam bay is located at the centre of the North Coast Koh Samui near the main fresh water source on the island , skirted with sandy beaches and lush green palm groves and it offers spectacular views of Koh Pha Ngan to the North, and the Ang Thong National Marine Park to the East. The warm quiet waters make it ideal for swimming and playing in safety for all the family. The beach itself is Pha Ngan Island sheltered from the wind and waves. It’s narrow and sloping with warm and gently lapping waves, here you can play in the water and on the beach. Maenam is usually much less crowded than Lamai and not too noisy like Chaweng.
Maenam has a larger native community, than Chaweng or Lamai. If you are looking for relaxed holiday, Maenam Beach will be the best answer. Local market, convenience stores, and temples this can be found along Main Street.
Nowadays, Maenam is a venue of many small simple-but-artistic shops: restaurant, book stores, souvenir shops, and art shops.
